Senior UX Designer (full-time/in-house)
As the Senior UX Designer at Kipu Systems you will take control of the user interfaces of our cloud-based software used by tens of thousands of users 24/7/365. You will be responsible for the interface and its architecture. You are a very talented designer with serious experience designing the front-ends of web-based software and tools.

You will

  • Develop wireframes, mockups, information architecture, interaction
  • Understand business requirements and translate into user scenarios
  • Design our UI architecture and interfaces
  • Develop and maintain detailed user-intreface specs and design patterns for business and development teams

Requirements

  • At least 8 years experience
  • Extensive experience designing and presenting concepts, wireframes
  • Experienced working in a collaborative team environment including business stakeholder and technical teams.
  • Bachelor’s degree in design, human-computer interaction (HCI), or equivalent professional experience.
  • Ability to prototype with HTML/CSS/AJAX/JQUERY/Bootstrap. Experience with RAILS preferred.

Intermediate Ruby/Rails Developer (full-time/in-house)
You are done creating new websites every few weeks. You want to build something big and lasting. You want to work on real web-based software which is actively used by thousands of users. You want to work with a great development team..

You are positive and passionate about what you do and have:

  • strong skills with Ruby, PHP or another scripting language
  • at least 2 years of experience with RAILS

Implementation Specialist (full-time/in-house)
You want to be part of a dynamic team supporting all aspects of client services as well as play an important role in development and growth of a cutting-edge organization.

Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Gather and document requirements for forms building
  • Create and maintain online Kipu forms for clients and in-house libraries
  • Respond to incoming client support requests either via the main Kipu support telephone line, email or through problem and/or change management software
  • Collaborate with and support implementation team members with testing, meeting deadlines, and documenting client tasks and in-house policies, procedures and protocols
  • Adhering to and ensuring that departmental standards/protocols are being maintained by the implementation team in-house as well as on client instances
  • Maintain daily individual and departmental records of: workload (activity logs) and client tasks
  • Inform management daily on workload status and client feedback/requests

Qualifications

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent computer skills (MS Office, internet browsers and knowledge of current trends)
  • Self-starter with the initiative to learn: how to build new forms, new techniques to forms building and correcting/improving existing forms
  • Initiative to assist staff with daily operations without instruction
  • Possess problem solving skills and present options for successful resolution to issues
  • Ability to propose new ideas to help improve general administrative, implementation and customer service policies, procedures and protocols
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and job demands with a positive attitude
  • Ability to work non-conventional hours and weekends to complete tasks when required. The Kipu team is hard-working and results-driven; a typical a work week involves more than 40+ hours. This is integral part of this position and vital to becoming a member of the Kipu team.

DevOps Engineer (full-time/in-house)
About the Team
The Cloud Operations Team is responsible for the engineering and maintenance of the cloud infrastructure which supports the Kipu Systems SasS product. The Cloud Operations Team is also responsible for all corporate IT services.

About the Job
Reporting to the Vice President of Cloud Operations, the DevOps Engineer is instrumental in creating, automating, deploying, operating and scaling an always-on distributed system.

The DevOps Engineer will have the following responsibilities:

  • Perform on-call duty as part of a team maintaining responsible for the availability and performance of the system from a “full stack” perspective
  • Develop application and system management tools and processes that reduce manual efforts
  • Design operability-related features such as system health monitoring, diagnostics, repair, and other self-healing automation
  • Monitor the health of the system, automating system health, maintenance tasks, and reporting systems as needed
  • Handle security operations investigations, evaluate risk and potential impact to the system from a security perspective
  • Support corporate IT initiatives

Qualifications:

  • Expert or Intermediate level experience running and maintaining a 24×7 Internet-oriented production environment, preferably across multiple data centers, involving at least hundreds of machines
  • Expert or Intermediate level experience in automation and monitoring frameworks, deployment and development
  • Expert or Intermediate level knowledge and experience in designing, deploying and administering complex Amazon AWS cloud applications
  • Expert or Intermediate level knowledge of Linux fundamentals, including networking, file systems, security, and the kernel
  • Expert or Intermediate level knowledge of TCP/IP networking, including both hardware and host-based routing, VLAN’s, firewalls, and load balancing
  • Expert or Intermediate level knowledge of the “full stack”

Bonus Points:

  • Expert or Intermediate level experience with Ruby on Rails, NGINX, PUMA, Postgres, RabbitMQ, Redis, AWS, Python, GoLang

Responsibilities

  • Prepare timely & accurate month-end reconciliations, analysis & close.
  • Responsible for daily, weekly, monthly – general ledger accounting.
  • Identify and implement continuous process improvements.
  • Understanding of GAAP accounting rules
  • Strong PC, Excel and QuickBooks a MUST.
  • Ability to handle high volume of transactions
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to interact effectively with peers and management
  • Ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks effectively

Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree in Accounting required
  • 5-10 years’ experience in Accounting preferred
  • Strong QuickBooks knowledge a must.
  • Advanced Excel skills
